In truth, I have a love of light. The stars that generate light are what also supply us with the fundamental materials of physical life… hydrogen, carbon, and nitrogen, to name a few. In this way, there is a direct relationship between light and the substance of the material universe. As well, it is the light emitted from stars, our star for example, that sustains all life. It is life itself. Nothing exists without it.
There is inspiration in the commonplace, and in the ordinary there is beauty. In life there is constant change, so that everything at some point goes away and makes room for something new. All of our plans, the fulfillment of our dreams, our disappointments, our losses and gains, all take place beneath the light of every day. — Richard Holder |
